Parameter for Disabling Export to Excel

[]

Symptom
Add a parameter for disabling the Export to Spreadsheet feature.
Other terms
Export to Spreadsheet Disable CRM
Reason and Prerequisites
Up to now everyone who can display a table or tree in the CRM Web UI can also export it to a spreadsheet (if the function is available at all).
Solution
Please implement the attached correction instruction in case you want to disable this feature dependent on a business role.
Additionally you have to create a new parameter in the configuration and add it to the parameter profile you are using for the business role:
Open the configuration and navigate to Customer Relationship Management -> UI Framework -> Technical Role Definition -> Define Parameters.Doubleclick on Parameter Definition and click on New Entries.Enter the Name “EXPORT_DISABLE” (without quotation marks) and a meaningful description. Save the new parameter. Now you can use this parameter for a parameter profile which is (or can be) assigned to a business role. For thisyou need to add this parameter to a profile: in the same transaction you can choose a profile via Profile Definition and then go to Parameter Assignment, add there the parameter EXPORT_DISABLE.Now you switch to the business role (Customer Relationship Management -> Business Roles -> Define Business Role). Choose the business role in question and go to Assign Function Profiles. Here you need to enter a function profile ID “PARAMETERS” with the parameter profile as profile value. After saving the assignment the parameter should be in use for the business role.If you set this parameter to X, no Export to Spreadsheet button will be visible (at least for “normal” tables and trees) for this role.
