You require technical information about the AP Configuration
Engine, AP Pricing Engine or AP Tax Engine – i.e. one of the Virtual
Machine Container (VM Container, VMC) based engines in AP 7.00.

Solution
Prerequisites
The AP Configuration Engine, AP Pricing Engine and AP Tax Engine require the Virtual Machine Container) as runtime environment. The VMC is part of SAP Basis 7.00. The VMC must be enabled (see note 854170).
To check whether the VMC is already up and running you can use report RSVMCRT_HEALTH_CHECK (via transaction se38). It answers a number of basic questions: Is the VMC enabled? Is the communication between ABAP and JAVA working? Is the communication between JAVA and ABAP working? If the test is successful, you will see four green lights.Sizing

The AP Configuration Engine, AP Pricing Engine and AP Tax Engine are delivered as part of SAP AP 7.00 (Application Platform). The engines do not require specific installation steps, dedicated hosts, Java runtime environment or RFC destinations. High availability or load balancing is ensured by SAP standard mechanisms.Technical Configuration
